We are currently hiring for the position of:

PRODUCER, PARTNER INITIATIVES - MARKET

The Producer of Partner Initiatives, Market, contributes to the planning and delivery of partner initiatives, including Mentorships, Fellowships, Awards, Talks, Events and Showcases. Reporting to the Director of Market Programming and Creator Development, they will deliver programming of the highest standards and liaise between all stakeholders, including programme partners, participants and TIFF.

This is a producer role focused on managing and delivering market partnerships, overseeing administrative support and managing workflow to ensure the success of initiatives. With direction from the Director, the producer will meet the creative, professional and reputational goals of both the Market and its programming partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contributes to the Market Programming strategy by planning and delivering partner initiatives in collaboration with the Market team and external stakeholders
  • Oversees programme ideation and scheduling under the guidance of Director of Market Programming and Creator Development
  • Liaises with stakeholders to listen to pitches, identify and track notable speakers and session ideas
  • Scheduling sessions to help participants develop necessary skills and project progression
  • Researches trends and drives innovation that reflects industry and creator developments
  • Facilitate group discussions, workshops and moderate talks with guests and participants when required
  • Conducts ongoing participant and guest outreach for possible participation in programmes
  • Outreaches and liaises with promising creators for our programmes; track emerging creators at festivals and awards, prioritizing DEI goals
  • Builds expense budgets for partner programming initiatives, and manages initiative budgets per programme
  • Reviews shortlisted Canadian and International applications for Labs, Mentorships and Residencies as well as set evaluation standards and processes for internal and external juries
  • Leads the selection of participant Fellowships and Awards in collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Maintains professional relationships with mentors, creative consultants and guests who meet the criteria of programmes and the needs of selected participants
  • Tracks participant and speaker fees, fellowships, hospitality, as well as programme expenses
  • Oversees departmental and interdepartmental processes, including workflow and task assignments, R-Matrices, workback schedules for partner initiatives
  • Ensures accuracy with scheduling and logistics event builds for the team using Artifax, Trello, ROS, venues and room bookings, and tech requests
  • Prepares industry-related Communications, including press releases, event descriptions, stage remarks, web and newsletter copy, and ensures they are ready for editorial sign-off and distribution
