**** Work at CBC/Radio-Canada
** At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms. Our successes and accomplishments are driven by embodying and upholding values, which include creativity, integrity, inclusiveness and relevance.

** Unposting Date:**:59 PM### ## Marketplace is Canada’s award-winning consumer investigative program and one of the most popular news programs on CBC.  The program has been delivering investigative journalism about all aspects of consumer life for more than 50 years and we’re searching for a senior reporter to become the program’s next host.

You must be a senior journalist who peers recognize as a positive leader. You love and have experience telling investigative stories through a consumer lens, are confident, innovative and comfortable delivering accountability interviews. You have no problem seeing yourself present stories, from and  to . That’s because your storytelling is not full of old style tv tropes. In fact you have an approach that is immersive, you let real moments breathe and you prioritize actuality because you know the right ingredients to reach an audience that mostly streams their content.

At the same time, you know how to conduct an accountability interview in such an authentic way that pulls out the information our viewers need without being performative. Your attention to detail, fact check process and your journalistic ethics are second to none because of the investigative work required. You have a deep understanding and appreciation for CBC’s rigorous Journalistic Standards and Practices and have an advanced understanding of legal requirements in investigative reporting.

You can also apply all of this live and on-demand. You can deliver stories on multi-platforms including video, audio, online and social media that resonate with audiences. This means you have a comfort level in front of the camera that builds connections and trust with the audience. Your conversational, natural and authentic delivery is true to who you are and allows you to connect with our target audience like no one else.

You come with creative ideas for reaching our audiences wherever they’re consuming our content, a willingness to challenge yourself and a desire to be a part of an iconic program to promote the value of investigative journalism, inclusion and accountability.
