We are looking for 5 students to join our fast-paced team who is driven and has a desire for hands on learning.

Reporting to the Area Manager, Construction Engineering and Contract Administration and the Construction Site Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on transit construction projects in the Greater Toronto Area. The Student Construction Inspector ensures through daily inspection that work is performed in accordance with contract documents. Students can expect to be responsible for the inspection, examination of on-site work, preparation of reports on compliance with the contract documents, and quality assurance and progress for assigned construction contracts.

Additionally, students can expect:

• Prepares daily reports for active construction contracts and issues contract deficiency reports including the follow-up on required corrective actions including inspection of same.
• Observing, acting and reporting on any contractual and non-contractual infractions of safety, security, operational interference or client customer inconvenience.
• The Student Inspector liaises between the contractor, client staff, utility companies, local municipalities and other external agencies.

• Enrolled in a Post Secondary Technical Program.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite

Salary Range: $22.69 - $46.73
