Réalis is hiring an experienced Deputy Construction Manager to join our team in Toronto. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. The Deputy Construction Manager will be based on an exciting major airport infrastructure project in the West end of Toronto.
- Deputizes for the Construction Manager as required to support the oversight and coordination of construction activities.
- Ensures all construction works comply with design specifications and are carried out within budget and quality standards.
- Provides field execution leadership and a broad range of high‑quality construction expertise proactively.
- Offers technical and administrative guidance to construction personnel on site.
- Maintains ongoing communication with customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assists the Construction Manager in the execution and planning of all project phases.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in construction management.
- Minimum 5 years of on‑site experience in highly regulated, complex operational environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.
- Strong technical capability across all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance, preferably in large programs/projects.
- Demonstrable reporting experience to enable effective decision‑making.
- Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including facilitating meetings/workshops with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset.
