Job Description & How to Apply Below
We’re hiring a Senior Estimator to lead estimating on high‑end interior fit‑out projects valued at $10M+. This role is based out of our Toronto head office and will work closely with preconstruction, project management, and leadership to produce accurate, competitive bids and reliable budgets from early concept through tender close.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead full‑cycle estimates for large‑scale, high‑end interior fit‑outs (typically $10M+).
Prepare detailed take‑offs, pricing, and trade scopes using drawings, specs, and site info.
Manage bid invitations, RFQs, tender leveling, and subcontractor analysis.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key trades and suppliers.
Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options without sacrificing quality.
Develop conceptual budgets and Class D/C estimates during early design stages.
Review contract requirements, alternates, schedules, and GC/self‑perform scope (if applicable).
Support preconstruction planning: logistics, phasing, procurement, and schedule impacts.
Maintain estimating database, benchmark pricing, and historical cost data.
Collaborate with PMs to ensure clean handoff after award (scope clarity, assumptions, inclusions).
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of estimating experience in ICI / commercial interiors (high‑end preferred).
Proven track record estimating $10M+ interior fit‑out or similarly complex ICI projects.
Strong understanding of interior construction divisions (finishes, millwork, MEP coordination, etc.).
Comfortable producing conceptual budgets and detailed tender submissions.
Excellent trade management: scope writing, leveling, negotiation, and award recommendations.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with estimating/takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, OST, Procore, Excel, etc.).
Post‑secondary education in construction management, engineering, or related field is an asset.
Bonus Points (Nice to Have)
Experience with design‑build / negotiated work and precon advisory.
Exposure to luxury commercial interiors (hospitality, retail flagship, Class A office, etc.).
Familiarity with LEED / sustainability requirements.
Why Join
Competitive salary $130K–$145K
Benefits + performance bonus
Toronto head office environment with a strong pipeline of premium interior projects
High autonomy, direct impact, and a leadership team that values accuracy and professionalism
