Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and specification analysis to provide clear, trackable and coordinated interpretations of design/drawings from pre‑construction to completion, including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with construction teams, end users and all stakeholders.
  • Preparation of project deliverables including tracking and creating RFIs, transmitting and tracking submittals, composing agreements and maintaining the project expediting list.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the construction schedule to deliver the project on time and under budget.
  • Administration and management of subcontracts including subcontractor compliance, tracking of changes and deliverables.
  • Interact, coordinate the activities of the consultants and contractors, and provide direction to the consultant team and contractor on behalf of the owner.
  • Assist in day‑to‑day oversight and management of contractors working on site.
  • Plan and coordinate all Health & Safety aspects required for project completion.
  • Develop and implement a communication plan for the project, maintain written reports/meeting minutes, and track progress and status of each project.
  • Assist in preparing detailed scopes of work, request for proposal documents, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Prepare regular, timely and accurate billing, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression.
  • Submit project reports to the Senior Project Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated.
Qualifications
  • You have a construction‑related degree/diploma and three+ years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in a Project Management role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software.
  • Ability to support the project team and help overcome problematic situations.
  • You have the ability to read construction specs and drawings.
  • You are a self‑starter and enjoy working independently.
  • You enjoy liaising with multiple stakeholders including, but not limited to, project teams, leadership team, external counsel and consultants.
  • You have a strong work ethic and the ability to multi‑task.
