Hays has partnered with a professional consulting and engineering firm that has been around for 70+ years. They have a custom energy solution contractingpany within their main organization. They are located in downtown Toronto and service clients across the Greater Toronto Area. They have a focus on carbon emissions savings for Canadians working on predominately large institutional projects.

Your new role

The open role is for a Construction Manager, reporting to the Lead Construction Manager on a large institutional project in Downtown Toronto. With the help of a construction coordinator, the Construction Manager will manage a couple towers of this large project, focusing on scheduling, budget and ensuring the project is delivered in a timely fashion and safely. It is a large retrofit project with a focus on mechanical and electrical.

You will meet with the client, engineers, consultants and trades and ensure that all requirements are met.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful Construction Manager will have a minimum of 5 years managing or working on large mechanical retrofit projects in the Greater Toronto Area or beyond! They will have a solid background in mechanical or electrical contracting / engineering, including training in a related field. The Construction Manager wille from an M&E department within a general contractor or from a multitrade / mechanicalpany.

You must be a strongmunicator and technically sound, as this individual will be working with engineers, consultants, trades and speaking with clients.
