Who we need
CDI is looking for Activity Group Leaders (AGL) to join the SNAP teams who will be responsible to provide programming and support for the siblings of clients participating in the SNAP clinical programs. Activity Group Leaders (AGL) provides programming and support for the siblings of clients participating in the SNAP clinical programs. This position requires the skills to plan and deliver fun and engaging activities for children ages 2-12.
The AGL also helps prepares healthy snacks for the Activity and SNAP groups and clean up at the end of the night. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Activity Group Support Worker and SNAP clinical staff to ensure the needs of each child are met in the Activity Group. This is a non-bargaining casual contract position requires to work flexible evening hours.

What the role is all about...
- Child and Youth Work Diploma/Degree
- Must be Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level
C) - Excellent communication skills
- A second language is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work in a respectful manner with groups from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

- Credential verifications & References required.
- Mental effort required in multi-tasking and handling interruptions that require constant refocusing.
- Mental flexibility required to lead a group program with a number of components (briefing, meet & greet, dinner, interactive, group, goodnight, documentation, debriefing) requiring ability to support and adapt to client and team needs
- Manage crisis situations, as needed following agency policies, child welfare and health and safety standards
- Standing and moving for the majority of the shift
- Lifting or moving up to 20lbs may be required
- Governed by concurrent and dynamic deadlines, despite conflicting priorities and frequent interruptions
- Noise level is moderate to high
- Fast-paced work environment
- Flexible hours, evening work required
$23.34 per hour. Hours are not guaranteed. Work will be scheduled as needed.
