Senior Director, Partnerships & Business Development - Let’s Get Growing Campaign (Full time)
We’re seeking a seasoned, strategically minded Partnerships & Business Development leader to accelerate our growth and expand the Let’s Get Growing campaign across the City of Ottawa. In this senior role, you’ll drive high-value partnerships, shape market strategy, and serve as a key ambassador for Canada’s Forest Trust Corporation.
Working closely with our CEO and leadership team, you will lead engagement with enterprise clients, industry associations, municipal partners, including the City of Ottawa, and senior business leaders. You’ll bring a strong network, executive presence, and a proven track record of building transformative partnerships that scale impact. We’re looking for a candidate who thrives in autonomy, strategy and relationship-driven environments.

What you’ll do
Lead the Let’s Get Growing campaign in Ottawa, advancing collaboration with the city of Ottawa and regional business leaders
Develop and execute the partnership strategy across the city of Ottawa
Identify, cultivate and close high-value partnerships with local businesses, institutions and organizations
Act as a senior representative and thought partner, building credibility with executives, board and community stakeholders.
Build and manage a strategic pipeline
Customize partnership models and proposals, aligning our nature solutions with partner objectives
Represent CFTC and CCC at relevant events or networking opportunities
Present and pitch our nature/sustainability solutions and technology to prospective clients
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term partner engagement
You’ll be a great fit if you
Bring 10+ years of senior experience in partnerships, business development or B2B sales
Are a natural connector and relationship builder with a strong existing network in Ottawa
Have a track record of closing complex deals, multi-stakeholder partnerships or government/enterprise agreements
Are organized, responsive and confident in communicating with senior decision-makers
Are motivated by purpose, results, and performance-driven rewards
Requirements
Demonstrated success in senior partnerships or business development roles
Ability to architect partnership strategies and lead enterprise-level agreements
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Knowledge of and experience in the foundation ecosystem in Canada is an asset
Familiarity with Google Workspace, CRM tools, and collaborative platforms like Slack
