The Manager, Strategy Execution quickly recognizes and assesses strategic opportunities and challenges, helping to navigate the complexities of enterprise‑wide programs.
This role supports the successful delivery of strategic work by creating and maintaining an accountable, transparent, and well‑coordinated environment. You will work closely with program leadership and partners across finance, business, and technology. - Support Canada’s strategic initiative portfolio, overseeing budgeting, reporting, governance, and investment optimization to enable strong enterprise-wide decision making.
- Manage the Canadian Initiative Governance (CIG) process end‑to‑end, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and ongoing enhancements to strengthen strategic oversight.
- Evaluate and challenge initiative business cases, ensuring clear targets, sound assumptions, measurable outcomes, and alignment with financial and strategic plans.
- Oversee the integrated pipeline of Canadian initiatives, including initiative management, from identification through planning, execution, and value realization.
- Provide strategic insights and program updates to Canada Strategy, Finance, Technology, Risk, Audit, and other key stakeholders, enabling informed leadership decisions.
- Lead components of the corporate strategic planning cycle, offering thought leadership, analytical support, and executive‑ready recommendations.
- Facilitate annual business improvement and initiative planning, collaborating closely with business and functional leaders.
- Act as a strategic liaison across functions, fostering collaboration, managing complex stakeholder dynamics, and supporting cross‑functional strategic and financial discussions.
- Coordinate and maintain multi‑year forecasts, including regular reporting to the Canada Executive team on in‑year results and key financial drivers.
- Oversee strategic initiatives from planning through execution, analyzing results, identifying adjustments, and ensuring continuous alignment with business objectives.
- Post‑secondary education in business or a related field, with 5+ years of practical business experience; experience in financial services is an asset.
- Expertise in strategy development, governance, and execution, with a proven track record supporting or leading corporate strategy, financial management, or enterprise initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating business or technology initiatives that drive organizational transformation.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to create executive‑ready presentations and adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to derive insights from data and leverage tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly effective relationship builder, skilled in networking, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and influencing across functions and levels.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate conflict, find synergies across programs, and drive alignment in complex or competing environments.
- Organizational agility, with experience working on cross‑functional projects spanning multiple teams, business units, or organizational layers.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the ability to adapt, prioritize, and execute in a fast‑paced, fluid environment.
- Strong sense of ownership and results orientation, ensuring progress toward goals while maintaining high standards of delivery.
