Position: GardaWorld: Proposal Writer / Senior Writer

Role Overview

Salary - starting at 75k

The Proposal Writer plays a key role in achieving Garda World’s sales objectives by developing competitive, strategic, and customized proposals in response to complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Working closely with sales, operations, finance, and other stakeholders, he or she contributes to defining the proposal strategy and highlights the organization’s integrated security solutions and operational expertise.

This position requires a strong understanding of B2B services, the ability to structure compelling proposal narratives, and excellent rigor in managing multiple submissions simultaneously.


Key Responsibilities
:

Proposal Strategy & Positioning

  • Support the development of proposal strategy in collaboration with business owners, sales leaders, and cross-functional teams
  • Analyze RFP requirements to identify client priorities, evaluation criteria, and key decision drivers
  • Contribute to value messaging that differentiates Garda World’s integrated security solutions
  • Ensure proposals are aligned with client industry context, risk environment, and operating requirements
  • Proposal Development & Writing

  • Develop clear, structured, and persuasive proposal content tailored to each client
  • Translate operational, financial, and solution inputs into business-focused messaging
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all proposal sections
  • Review, edit, and proofread proposal content to meet professional and compliance standards
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate inputs from Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, and subject-matter experts
  • Facilitate working sessions to gather required information and align content
  • Ensure all contributors understand expectations, timelines, and deliverables
  • Project Management & Execution

  • Manage proposal timelines, priorities, and submission schedules
  • Track risks, dependencies, and outstanding inputs throughout the proposal lifecycle
  • Escalate issues as needed to ensure on-time, high-quality submissions
  • Maintain proposal documentation, templates, and records within company platforms and CRM
  • Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the evolution of proposal templates, tools, and content libraries
  • Incorporate lessons learned from proposal outcomes to improve future submissions
  • Support the standardization of proposal processes while maintaining flexibility for customization
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in proposal writing, RFP responses, or strategic commercial writing
  • Experience in security, facilities services, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or other complex B2B service environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of integrated service solutions and operational delivery models
  • Excellent written communication skills in English
    ; bilingual English/French is an asset
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, matrixed environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); CRM and proposal tools are an asset
