Overview

Manager, Commercial Operations - Remote Canada. The Commercial Operations Manager is responsible for the operational alignment of revenue-generating teams across the full client lifecycle to drive growth, operational clarity, and efficiency. This role provides leadership to the Commercial Operations team to support and improve the efficiency, effectiveness and scalability of Sales and Marketing teams. The role owns the forecast, sales modeling, compensation plan, territory alignment, margin analysis, and overall health of the pipeline.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve a Sales and Revenue Operations model to support the growth of Smile Digital Health.
  • Ensure the CRM is accurate, optimized and regularly updated to maintain pipeline reporting, customer lifecycle data, and forecast modeling.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to optimize systems and processes to enable customer-facing teams.
  • Design, implement, and scale revenue generating processes using data and technology to streamline workflows that improve sales velocity.
  • Lead a team of Analysts, SF Admin, and Sales Operations who support sales, marketing, and revenue tooling.
  • Hire, train, and coach Commercial Operations team members to ensure continuous growth and development.
  • Oversee the deal desk function, including standardized deal review and approval processes, pricing and discount guidelines, and collaboration with sales, legal, and finance to ensure favorable margins.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on projects to design and implement processes and tools for effective sales planning and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with finance on sales and commission forecasts.
  • Lead strategy and vision of intelligent goal setting through market segmentation, quota setting, and account planning.
  • Provide strategic guidance to sales reps and support enterprise deals and pricing strategies.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to improve execution of pre- and post-sales processes, including approvals, contract management, pipeline, and leads.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for sales processes and operations.
  • Oversee dashboards and communicate commercial team metrics.
  • Work with Marketing to ensure top-of-funnel activities are captured and data integrity is preserved.
  • Drive operational metrics for the sales organization such as quota attainment, pipeline growth and coverage, and stage conversion rates.
  • Leverage business knowledge to drive process improvements and partner with leadership to analyze data and strategize initiatives.
Requirements
  • 6-7+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or business operations.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role in sales/revenue operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including trend analysis, revenue categorization, and territory/quota development.
  • Ability to track and develop metrics (KPIs), analyze them, and translate into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data clearly.
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of CRM software administration (Salesforce with CPQ, Hub Spot, Netsuite, and other major platforms).
  • Strong experience with a BI tool (Tableau or CRM Analytics).
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
