What can you expect in this role?

Reporting to the Corporate Strategy Manager, Strategic Initiatives and receiving day to day coaching and guidance from senior leadership, you'll work collaboratively with functional teams to support cross-functional strategic initiatives (e.g., developing integration strategy, capability gap assessment)

  • Act as an “in-house management consultant” – apply strategic thinking to solve complex Corporate Strategy problems
  • Be constantly challenged by strategic requests from different businesses and functions
  • Support deliverables that will shape decision-making by the corporate strategy team
  • Independently drive analysis to arrive at options and recommendations using a hypothesis and data driven approach
  • Support the research & development of POV on emerging / new to company ideas
  • Support the corporate strategy team with development of deliverables (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) that communicate information and ideas effectively and support in decision-making
  • Prepare high quality deliverables to support program planning, management, and document requirements
  • Do all this in a fun and supportive team led by leaders who encourage pursuit of your passions and ambitions
What do you bring to the role?
  • Must be currently enrolled in full-time MBA with previous strategy experience gained at a top-tier management consulting firm, internal corporate strategy role, or equivalent
  • Strategy development experience across a variety of strategic problems such as new market entry, new product launch, competitive assessments, etc.
  • Experience in evaluating new business opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies, and business model assessments
  • Experience building business cases to support strategy execution
  • Strong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical, and critical thinking
  • Exceptional written presentation skills, with the ability to prepare informative and impactful presentation decks to express complex ideas graphically
  • Must be a team player with the opportunity to demonstrate collaboration with others to achieve desired results
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is required
  • P&C insurance industry experience is an asset but not necessary
