As our project portfolio and customer base continue to expand, we are seeking a Business Development / Sales Manager to drive new business, strengthen customer relationships, and help shape our long-term growth strategy. The Business Development / Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. This role requires a blend of technical sales and relationship management within industrial and mechanical environments.
You will work closely with operations, engineering, and project management teams to ensure customer needs are clearly understood and deliverable solutions are proposed.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial refrigeration, process cooling, and cold storage
Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
- Food processors
- Cold storage operators
- General contractors
- End users and facility managers
Manage the full sales cycle:
- Site visits
- Project handoff to operations
Collaborate with internal teams to develop accurate, competitive proposals
Track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts
Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
Support strategic account development and long-term client retention
Qualifications & Experience- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or account management
- Experience in industrial refrigeration, HVAC-R, mechanical contracting, or industrial construction strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia and/or CO₂ experience is an asset)
- Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and complex technical solutions
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Ontario (occasional cross-border travel may be required)
Base Salary Range: $110,000 – $160,000 CAD per year
(Base salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.)
