The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $75,700 - $99,300. The offered salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations.
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for an automotive enthusiast to support our Product Planning department. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager of Pricing Strategy.
The selected candidate will study and develop proposals for all aspects of new vehicle pricing (internal/external) for Toyota and Lexus vehicles. They will also develop market studies and pricing proposals for a holistic market-appropriate price position for every vehicle to achieve sales objectives and brand vision, while maximizing profit and optimizing incentive spending.

What You’ll Be Doing
New Vehicle Pricing
Collects and summarizes key industry indicators such as sales, pricing, customer data, product specifications, etc. to form as a basis of recommended pricing action for next generation vehicles.
Creates credible price proposals at model change timing with insight and analysis based on detailed market research for all Toyota and Lexus models
Creates volume studies to support logic of requested vehicle pricing proposals. Works closely on volume studies with Sales and Inventory Planning to link pricing to required annual vehicle sales plans
Collaborates and negotiates with the manufacturer to ensure clear understanding, cooperation and requirements of requested price proposals
Coordinates with National Sales Incentive Planning for both Toyota and Lexus to develop holistic incentive plans for future models that incorporate potential pricing action with focus on optimizing incentive spending
Interface with stakeholder departments (Marketing, National Sales, SIP, Lexus etc.) for the purpose of sharing and coordinating all model price strategies
Maintain and execute FX and CEP Guideline updates
Marketplace Intelligence
Monitor and evaluate competitor pricing strategies and actions including value packages or strategic model introductions
Creation of marketplace pricing analysis to highlight key competitor product and pricing actions at model change timing and sharing of that analysis cross functionally with key stakeholder departments and other Toyota affiliates for development of any required counter strategies
Work in close collaboration with other Product Planning groups – Product Planning and Product Advocacy – to ensure alignment on vehicle strategies and goals
Apply Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) approach to all new model launch pricing implemented by Toyota Canada
What You’ll Bring
University Degree/College Diploma in Business, Management, or related discipline
3 years of work experience related to automotive industry
Solid knowledge of the Canadian automotive marketplace
Experience in making proposals to Management and building cross functional consensus
Skilled in influencing, negotiating and consensus building across all levels (internal & external)
Strong organizational skills and strategic thinking
Proven strength in multi-tasking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills, advanced Excel an asset.
Bilingualism (French/English) an asset
