This is a rare opportunity for a senior clinical research commercial leader to build and scale a high-impact growth business focused on transforming how patient recruitment is executed in clinical trials.
HEALWELL AI’s Patient Identification for Clinical Trials offering applies AI-enabled clinical decision support and real-world data at scale to help CROs, sponsors, and investigator sites identify high-fit patients faster, reduce site burden, improve feasibility accuracy, and accelerate enrollment timelines. Role OverviewThe Commercial Director, Clinical Research Acceleration is responsible for leading the commercial growth of HEALWELL AI’s Patient Identification for Clinical Trials business.
This is a revenue-carrying leadership role with direct accountability for achieving annual sales targets, expanding market penetration across CROs and sponsors, and ensuring successful execution of customer initiatives in partnership with internal delivery teams.
The role is GTA-based and operates in a hybrid model, with regular travel to customer sites and industry conferences. The Commercial Director will represent HEALWELL AI externally and contribute to thought leadership and promotional initiatives supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities Revenue & Sales Accountability- Own and deliver against an annual revenue target for the Patient Identification for Clinical Trials offering.
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan to achieve defined revenue and growth objectives.
- Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline across CROs, sponsors, and investigator networks.
- Lead full sales cycles from prospecting through negotiation and contract execution.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Shape go-to-market strategy, positioning, and competitive differentiation for the Clinical Trials Patient .
- Translate enrollment, feasibility, and site performance challenges into clear commercial value propositions.
- Drive promotional initiatives and manage an allocated promotional budget to support business development objectives.
- Utilize and maintain the company’s CRM system (currently Salesforce) to document customer interactions, pipeline progression, and project activity.
- Provide regular and accurate revenue forecasting to leadership.
- Maintain disciplined reporting on active accounts, pipeline status, and revenue performance metrics.
- Ensure successful execution of customer initiatives in partnership with Clinical Science, Operations, and Delivery teams.
