Your Opportunity
Our Toronto office is looking for a Manager to join its Strategy, Value Creation & Analytics practice in our Financial Advisory Services team. This is a new role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the below.
Strategy, Value Creation & Analytics helps companies drive profitable growth and improve financial and operational performance. We assist our clients in navigating urgent and critical situations where significant value is at stake, including defining moments such as M&A transactions, business transformation, growth, or recovery. Strategy, Value Creation & Analytics take a practical and hands-on approach to rapidly identify high-impact initiatives that drive improved EBITDA and cash flow via a data-driven approach.

Integration or carve-out/separation planning and execution

Synergies analysisBusiness transformationApplied business analyticsIn your role as a Manager, you will:
Conduct detailed research and analysis of client, industry, and market performance and develop practical strategies and action plans, including supporting financial analysis/models and implementation plansConsult with client personnel and participate in and/or lead client meetings and interviewsLead content development for client projects – including identifying hypotheses, determining required analysis, outlining project plans, crafting insights and recommendationsDisplay the expertise and ability to work across several of the Strategy, Value Creation & Analytics project areas listed aboveContribute to the practice’s sales, business development, and marketing activities (including networking, proposals, prospect meetings, and presentations)Identify new and/or additional opportunities to assist existing clientsDevelop and maintain strong client relationships, both internal and externalBe engaged in the development and management of the Strategy, Value Creation & Analytics practiceCoach and mentor other team members to their highest potentialHow do we define success for your role?

Completed undergraduate university degree with outstanding academic credentialsProfessional designations (e.g., CPA, P.Eng, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) and/or Master's level university education would be considered an asset4-6 years of relevant work experience with strategy, financial planning & analysis, business transformation and/or management consulting; prior experience in the above-mentioned project areas would be an assetUnderstanding of use cases and potential to apply Artificial Intelligence to create opportunities for value creation and business transformation would be an assetSuperior verbal, interpersonal, leadership, and written communication skillsStrong PowerPoint design, layout, and storyboarding skillsSkilled in financial analysis or modeling, data analytics and visualization, market research and analysis, internal/external analysis, project problem diagnosis, and solution developmentFamiliarities with modern data analytics and AI tools and software, such as Tableau, Power BI, ChatGPT, Notion, or similar platformsMotivated to be market-facing and driving relationships that lead to future workStrong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and propose ideasMotivated, detail-oriented, autonomous, rigorous, and able to work under pressureThe successful candidate must be willing and able to travel when necessary
