Mercer Employee Benefits Consulting Co‑Op - Toronto - Summer 2026
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) team s role will be based in Toronto for the Summer 2026 term. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities- Participate in delivering impactful solutions for organizations of any size and varied industries, directly impacting their employees.
- Work collaboratively on a wide variety of client teams with our 80+ health colleagues in Toronto.
- Support clients in the financial and strategic management of their employee benefit programs through analysis and communication.
- Perform basic or complex calculations related to the costs of current employee benefit plans and insurance arrangements, including using Mercer’s internal pricing tools to model plan design changes and prepare future cost projections.
- Gain an understanding of basic project management and consulting skills, including managing the quality and timeliness of client deliverables, participating in client calls and meetings, and assisting with the preparation of clear client‑friendly communications.
- Undergo training to acquire knowledge of Mercer’s Health and Benefits products, services, technical tools, vendor/carrier markets, basic underwriting skills, budget‑setting, rate‑setting, and evaluation.
- Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and working knowledge of Excel.
- Experience in data analysis and presentation design.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to develop new skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under tight deadlines and changing client needs.
- Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Completion of two years toward a Bachelor's Degree in Business (preferred).
