T. Rowe Price is seeking a highly motivated Relationship Manager Associate (RMA) to join our Canadian Distribution team in Toronto. This individual will play a vital role in supporting sales, client service, and consultant relations across all business verticals—Institutional, Intermediary Head-Office, and Defined Contribution (DC). Working closely with senior client‑facing professionals, you will help drive client retention, relationship expansion, and business growth through the delivery of technical, professional, and strategic services.

You will also facilitate market intelligence initiatives, conduct targeted research, and help coordinate our service plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Canadian team members to enhance group expertise and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator between the client‑facing team and shared service functions (Operations, Client Accounts, On‑Boarding, Legal & Compliance, Trading, RFP, Consultant Database, Product, etc.), ensuring effective support for client retention and relationship growth.
  • Maintain and execute Key Account Management plans.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the asset management industry, business verticals, and account structures, including Canadian Pooled Funds, Separate Accounts, and SICAVs.
  • Coordinate responses for industry surveys and client questionnaires.
  • Prepare client meetings by developing detailed briefing notes for presenters.
  • Proactively identify account patterns and potential issues, leveraging internal resources to resolve them.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client organizations, including navigating complex political landscapes and client behaviors.
  • Spot and research upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Conduct in‑depth research on clients and prospects to support sales and service initiatives.
  • Present, negotiate, and engage with assigned clients, employing active listening and consultative skills.
  • Provide data analytics and business reporting to inform decision‑making.
  • Work alongside Relationship Managers in client settings, drawing on expertise across the firm as needed.
  • Optimize regular engagement strategies with clients and identify new opportunities.
  • Ensure accuracy in pooled fund and client reporting.
  • Liaise with the RFP team on RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and ad hoc projects.
  • Support onboarding of new client relationships, coordinating with Global Client Operations, Investment Reporting, Legal, and Compliance.
Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or client service within a consulting or asset management firm.
  • CFA Level 1-3 considered an asset.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • French language skills an asset.
  • Deep investment and product knowledge.
  • Proven relationship management skills and the ability to establish rapport with senior client contacts.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to new client situations and information.
  • Strong ambassadorial skills, representing the full T. Rowe Price platform.
  • Excellent judgment, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Results‑driven with a high level of motivation, enthusiasm, perseverance, and resilience.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic and tactical projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism in all interactions.
