CSN Brimell/Formula, a high‑volume collision centre and division of a 10‑dealership automotive group, is currently looking for a skilled Body Prep Technician (“Prepper”) to join our team. With over 20 years in the business, we pride ourselves in exceeding customers’ auto body repair expectations and aim to be the best in the industry.

The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast‑paced environment to provide automotive services by refinishing body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications.

Duties Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Examining, identifying, analyzing damaged vehicles and coordinating estimated repair costs with Paint and Collision Appraiser(s) to ensure accuracy and to providing anything additional missed.
  • Notifying dispatcher of any delays in meeting promised time to ensure that it is relayed back to the customers.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of each vehicle in their care.
  • Providing clear and legible notes on service completed for all work orders.
  • Performing factory warranty repairs according to established warranty and dealership procedures.
  • Checking previous work relaying any quality issues to the Shop Foreman or Management.
  • Washing vehicles prior to starting the prep process.
  • Responsible for picking up supplies once they have been ordered and made available to the work order.
  • Applying primer over any repairs made to vehicle surfaces.
  • Applying rust‑resistant undercoats, and caulk and seal seams.
  • Feather edging damaged areas in accordance to manufacturer standards and specifications.
  • Water sanding and blending areas in accordance to manufacturer standards and specifications.
  • Masking vehicles in preparation for paint and once vehicles are refinished, remove masking.
  • Blowing off excess dust and particulars on vehicles.
  • Buffing and waxing the finished paintwork, when required.

Other duties as assigned by management.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
  • 2+ years of collision repair experience as an Auto Body Prep Technician
  • I‑Car and Ozone Depletion Prevention Card (ODPC) considered an asset
  • Valid Ontario G driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Familiarity with Ontario Occupational Health and Safety standards
  • Ability to frequently bend, crouch and reach
  • Ability to handle power tools and lift approximately 50lbs
  • Strong eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a safe, organized and professional manner.
