- Examine damaged vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage
- Complete appraisals and determine proper repair methods and pricing
- Monitor daily productivity of all assignments and corresponding records
- Monitor progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring proper repair and safety procedures are followed
- Control the method and cost of repairs by using established industry regulatory practices and corporate guidelines
- Complete Total Loss evaluations through market and Autosource search
- Complete remote appraisals
- Make decisions that positively impact the site and the customer
- Promote Aviva Auto Care Centre values and goals
- Post‑secondary education
- Minimum 5 years auto estimating experience
- Repair planning experience
- Experience with in the automotive repair industry
- Excellent customer service skills combined with outstanding communication and conflict resolution skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive/equipment preventative maintenance, refurbishment and repair practices and procedures
- Demonstrates adaptability and openness to change with a proactive mindset in embracing new work practices and technologies
- Proficiency using body shop management systems; knowledge of Body Shop Connect preferred
- Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to an environment of continuous improvement
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Detail oriented with an emphasis on quality control
- Ability to take direction and perform well under pressure
- Strong awareness of safety practices and procedures
