Forge Recruitment's client, a reputable firm, is seeking a Real Estate Legal Assistant (Condo exp) to join their talented team.
About the Role
- Provide secretarial support creating documents and correspondence through transcription and copy-typing, making revisions as necessary
- Provide administrative support which include (but not limited to) completing expense reports, courier forms, file opening forms, photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing and creation of file folders
- Professionally interact with all firm members and clients
- Photocopy and/or organize documents for distribution, mailing and binding
- Prepare and generate pre-bills for monthly billing, as needed
- Organize, maintain and accurately file correspondence, invoices and receipts via paper and digital formats
- Eliminate unnecessary or outdated materials transferring inactive files to storage according to file maintenance guideline
- Legal Assistant Diploma from an accredited institution.
- 5 plus experience working within the real estate practice area in a law firm and condo experience is a must.
- Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities, while respecting tight deadlines.
- Possesses well developed verbal and written communication skills. Able to work with a variety of individuals providing quality service at all times.
- Operates with a high degree of accuracy and has strong attention to detail.
- Takes initiative and possesses well-developed organizational and time management skills.
- A team player, with the ability to build relationships and provide strong customer service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Solid transcription and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently, following instructions with minimal supervision
- Proficiency using Teraview and Conveyancer is an asset.
- Possesses good judgment and responds well to constructive feedback.
- Ability to discretely handle highly confidential information.
- Willingness to learn workflow schemes and in-house processes.
- Hands on with experience with pre-billing administration (preferably 3E)
- Familiarity working within a DMS system is an asset
$60,000 - $75,000
