Summaryantsi The Freight Clerk is responsible for performing data entry functions into Freeman’s computer system for receiving and shipping freight. The role supports dock freight operations at show sites, the office warehouse, and the marshalling yard as needed. The Clerk professionally interacts with customers, team members, and third‑party vendor/partner representatives to provide the highest level of service excellence. The position is located in Toronto, supporting our Operations team on a full‑time, in‑person schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform basic computer functions in Freeman programs, including completing automated receiving reports, printing posted/pending reports and manifests, receiving freight from exhibitors, completing automated material handling agreements, and performing scanner data entry.
- Print and distribute freight operations computer reports.
- Pack marshalling yard show‑site supplies, computers, printers, and other equipment.
- Assist in maintaining and inventorying all marshalling‑related equipment (computers, printers, signage, maps, driver cards, etc.).
- Perform data entry and printing in the computer system and scanners such as target dates, record receipt, and repot generation and printing.
- Mark tenår and distribute floor plans as directed.
- Perform clerical functions such as filing, faxing, alphabetizing, or ordering numerical lists to support exhib nka services.
- Assist and oversee the proper data entry of all driver‑related shipment information into Freeman computer systems.
- Reconcile completed driver’s bills of lading and Freeman’s material handling agreements to transfer exception notations from driver bracelets to company paperwork.
- Assist in numbering, weighing, logging, and dispatching trucks as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Specific experience with computer systems and web‑based programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, TSS, and Concierge Elite.
- Ability to complete online reports, printing, posting, running inquiries, and data entry.
