We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic cooperative environment. Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Manager, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with co‑op bylaws and policies.
- Prepare and maintain corporate records, member files, and financial documents.
- Assist with board and member meetings, including issuing notices and preparing reports.
- Manage financial tasks such as processing deposits, collecting housing charges.
- Issuing approved notices to members.
- Coordinate maintenance work orders and handle member inquiries with professionalism.
- Maintain office systems, including record-keeping, filing of all documents, inventory control, and member communications.
- Assist with RGI collection of members’ documents and calculating RGI’s on an annual basis.
- Foster a welcoming and professional office environment for members and visitors.
- Assisting the manager with other work-related duties regarding the co‑op’s operations.
- Assist the maintenance worker with work orders and follow up with members and contractors.
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a co‑op or non‑profit setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and record-keeping systems.
- Proficiency in calculating RGI’s.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently under supervision.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to community values.
