Senior Staff Accountant – Public Accounting

Location:

North York (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Compensation:
Up to $100,000 base + 5–10% discretionary bonus

This is a full-service firm with a balanced mix of tax and assurance
, serving ASPE and NFP clients
, with some exposure to IFRS. The office is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Downsview Station
.

As a Senior Staff Accountant
, you will play a key role on assurance engagements while gaining exposure to tax and advisory work. This is a hands‑on role with end-to-end file ownership and meaningful client interaction.

• Lead assurance engagements from planning to completion
• Perform audits, reviews, and non‑audit assurance work (approximately 60% reviews and non‑audit
  )
• Prepare and review ASPE financial statements and NFP engagements
• Support tax compliance and tax planning files
• Work directly with managers and partners on complex accounting matters
• Coach and review work of junior staff as needed

• Strong assurance background (audit/review experience required)
• Experience leading files from start to finish
• Exposure to tax compliance and tax planning
• Experience with ASPE clients
  ; NFP experience is an asset
• CPA designation not required (in progress or completed is an asset)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
