As we continue to expand, we are seeking an Accountant who is eager to contribute to a high-performing, close-knit team and support the next phase of our growth.

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant position based in North York, ON. The Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the daily financial operations of Baxter’s Bakery, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards. This individual will work closely with leadership to provide financial insight that supports operational efficiency and strategic growth.

• Preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Managing/processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Performing account reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accuracy
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Supporting year-end procedures and external audits
• Contributing financial insights to improve margins and operational performance

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Proficiency with accounting systems and financial software
• Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Effective organizational and time management abilities
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• CPA designation (or in progress) is considered an asset
• Experience in food manufacturing or a production environment is an asset
