Senior Accountant

Hire Loft Recruitment is proud to be representing a well-established, multi-entity organization in the healthcare space in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their finance team in downtown Toronto.

This is a hands-on, core accounting role suited for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys owning the details, and wants stability with clear expectations.

Location: Downtown Toronto

Work Model: Fully onsite

Salary: $80,000 to $85,000

Benefits: Full benefits package

• Own full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, month-end close, and general ledger maintenance
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain and manage accounting schedules such as accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
• Support preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages
• Assist with ERP system usage and enhancements, Net Suite experience is a strong asset
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation
• Support ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required

• 5 to 7 years of hands‑on accounting experience, ideally in a multi‑entity environment
• Strong full-cycle accounting background with solid GAAP and ASPE knowledge
• ERP experience is required, Net Suite preferred
• Advanced Excel skills are essential, including lookups and data analysis. Excel testing will be part of the interview process
• Degree or diploma in Accounting required
• CPA designation or currently working toward CPA is preferred
• Detail‑oriented, organized, reliable, and comfortable working fully onsite
• Strong team player with a positive, solutions‑focused mindset
