Property Accountant

Overview

Hire Loft Recruitment is seeking a skilled Property Accountant for a reputable property management company. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a collaborative, detail-focused environment and can manage the full accounting cycle for a diverse property portfolio.

• Handle full-cycle accounting for multiple properties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month/year-end close.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, operating reports, and cash flow projections.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Process payroll and related remittances (experience preferred).
• Manage HST filings, accruals, and other statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with management to improve financial controls and reporting processes.

• CPA designation or in final stages preferred
  ; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong Quick Books Online experience
  ; ability to perform clean-ups and optimize use of the system.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and property management financial workflows.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working 100% on-site in a confidential, paper-based environment.
