Senior Property Accountant

We are currently partnering with a well-established commercial real estate owner/operator to hire a Senior Property Accountant to support a retail portfolio of shopping centres and strip malls across the GTA.

This is a stable, hands-on role ideal for someone with strong commercial property accounting experience who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Full-cycle accounting including financial statement preparation
• Balance sheet reconciliations with proper supporting documentation
• Property-level and consolidated variance analysis
• Annual budgets and periodic reforecasts
• CAM & Realty Tax support and tenant-related accounting inquiries
• Collaboration with Leasing and Operations teams on monthly financial results
• Audit & tax working papers preparation
• Drafting ASPE financial statements with supporting notes
• AR review, bad debt provisions, and allowance setup
• Integration of acquisitions and support on dispositions
• Participation in monthly Operations / Accounting meetings
• Process improvements and systems support initiatives
• Mentoring junior Property Accountants
• HST reconciliations and returns

• 4+ years of commercial property accounting experience
• Experience preparing financial statements under ASPE
• Yardi experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week
• 10% annual bonus
