Senior Accountant – Guidewire Software

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to be part of the Finance team, with hands‑on involvement in month‑end activities and daily accounting operations. This role is critical to the day‑to‑day general‑ledger tasks, focusing on purchase requisition/invoice review, prepaids, lease accounting, accruals, allocations, and month‑end close processes.

• Perform daily review and approval of purchase requisitions and invoices.
• Execute general ledger functions, including amortization for prepaids, leases, intangibles, accruals, and system reconciliations.
• Execute monthly accounting close activities: prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Partner with facilities and technical accounting teams to manage leases in Costar and record entries per ASC 842.
• Assist in ensuring accounting systems scale and operate to full functionality.
• Support SEC team with preparation of schedules and analysis.
• Assist management on audit requests and respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors.
• Work on ad‑hoc projects with the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller as needed.

• BS or BA in Accounting or related field (preferred).
• 4+ years of progressive general‑ledger accounting experience in a corporate/public‑accounting environment, preferably in software industry.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX internal controls.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion/Blackline/Coupa/Costar (a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, cross‑functionally, and as part of a team.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Interest or experience in leveraging AI tools in accounting workflows (a plus).
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and drive continuous improvement.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $94,000 – $142,000. In addition to a competitive paycheck, full‑time employees receive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a company‑sponsored retirement plan, and potential bonus and long‑term incentive awards.
