Responsibilities Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank statements, cash drawers, and credit card accounts
Track scrap purchases, vendor payments, and customer invoices
Maintain accurate ledgers and supporting documentation
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with closing
Process payroll and ensure accurate employee records (if applicable)
File sales tax and assist with compliance requirements
Coordinate with external accountants and auditors as needed
Maintain organized financial records in compliance with company policies
Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting best practices
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage, or SAP)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential financial information
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
Experience in recycling, manufacturing, or scrap metal industry is a plus
