Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Talent Operations and Programs, the Payroll Specialist will manage processing Canada payroll across Red Bull Canada, Red Bull Canada Distribution and Red Bull ULC (Chilliwack) to ensure compliance with rules and regulations in a multi-provincial environment. The Payroll Specialist will perform a wide variety of payroll activities, including payroll analysis, benefits administration, and payroll‑related projects in partnership with Accounting and Tax teams.
PayrollAdministration
Responsible for accurate and timely processing of bi‑weekly payroll for Red Bull Canada and Red Bull Canada Distribution. Interpret pay policies (vacation, overtime, calculations based on deductions and withholding exemptions) and respond to payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders. Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding and company deductions, maintain employee records in payroll systems, perform audit of payroll data prior to completion, and execute year‑end payroll reconciliation including T4 and RL1 issuance.
Main liaison with the Accounting / Tax team for reconciling questions and credits/debits to resolve issues promptly.
Assist with Provincial WCB reporting and general account maintenance with government bodies. Assist with annual legislative and statutory reporting regarding EHTs, RL1, T2200s, WCB, etc. Assess, monitor and follow up with all taxable benefit adjustments at year‑end (company fleet, parking, etc.). Support reconciling detailed calculations for T4 and RL1 and respond to employee queries. Assist with Stats Canada surveys for all payroll items and provide relevant files for SAP uploads (payroll, monthly and year‑end accruals, bonus, etc.).
Knowledgeand Expertise
- 3+ years of experience working in a multi‑provincial payroll environment.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, payroll tax, legal requirements and internal processes relating to payroll.
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce or other payroll software (e.g., ADP).
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills – comfortable communicating with all levels of management across various divisions and departments.
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, organization, accuracy.
- University Degree preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional, CPP preferred.
- Fluent in English.
Expected annual base salary range for this position is $69,350 to $80,000. The actual base salary will depend on factors including qualifications, skills, experience and work location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with Red Bull’s bonus plan.
