About the RoleDSI is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the organization’s full accounting function. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager partners closely with administration and client services to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and support donor advised fund (DAF) operations. This role is based in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization that is continuing to grow and evolve.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, bank and investment reconciliations, and month-end reporting
- Prepare internal financial reports, cash flow analysis, and budgets
- Oversee accounting and reporting for donor advised funds, including investment activity, fees, grants, and donation receipts
- Manage vendor payments, HST rebate filings, and day-to-day banking activities
- Liaise with external accountants and support year-end audits
- Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and confidentiality standards
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting
- Minimum 10 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Strong fund accounting and non-profit accounting experience
- Experience with investment accounting and market returns
- Advanced proficiency in Quick Books (Desktop, NFP) and Excel;
Net Suite experience preferred
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High professional integrity and business acumen
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast‑changing business context, with shifting priorities and developing frameworks
- Competitive base salary ($100,000 - $120,000) + annual discretionary performance-based bonus

Please note that this is a hybrid role, requiring occasional travel to the Toronto or Collingwood office.
