Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Overview

Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Corporate Office – Hwy 401 & Yorkdale Mall.

Position Type: Full-Time | In-Office. Available Immediately.

We are seeking a hands-on CPA with 2–4 years of experience and strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in accounting work, enjoys responsibility, and wants to play a meaningful role in a long-established, growing organization with multiple domestic and international companies.

• Prepare and post journal entries and accrual entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Build and manage follow-up and tracking systems for delinquent accounts.
• Assist with cash flow management.
• Interact with external auditors.
• Assist with year-end tax and financial statements.
• Prepare working papers and financial statements.
• Perform monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor quality control and implementation of key programs.
• Develop reporting and control systems across departments and affiliated companies.
• Collaborate with team leaders and managers across various divisions.
• Participate in the development of new apps and internal systems.
• Serve as an administrative assistant to the Founder and CEO.
• Support mergers and acquisitions activities.

• CPA designation or working toward CPA.
• 24 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in public accounting firms preferred.
• Proven track record with excellent professional recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• High level of desire and passion for accounting work.
• Comfortable with corporate presentations.
• Honest, hard-working, and dependable.
• Energetic, bright, and creative.
• Enjoys interaction with people.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
• Speaking additional languages is an asset.

• Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year.
