Are you a detail‑oriented individual who enjoys turning numbers into insights? We’re looking for an entry‑level Accountant to join our growing finance team in Toronto. In this hybrid role, you’ll play a key part in monthly financial reporting and analysis while working closely with senior finance leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and wants exposure to both operational and financial initiatives.

What

You’ll Do
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete monthly accounting activities, including:
    • Bank and intercompany reconciliations.
    • Journal entries.
    • Revenue and operational reporting.
    • Inventory accounting.
    • Prepaids and accruals.
    • Cash sources and uses.
    • Payroll support.
  • Prepare year‑end financial statements for audit and tax purposes.
  • Provide financial and operational support to various business functions.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and process improvements as assigned.
What You Bring
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, including technical accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset with a high level of integrity and ethical judgment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • A strong appreciation for accuracy, reliability, and punctuality.
Education & Experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration (Accounting concentration), or equivalent experience.
  • 1‑2 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Progress toward a CPA designation preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Exposure to the healthcare industry is a plus.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the life sciences industry and/or public accounting.
  • Hands‑on experience with an accounting ERP system, ideally Net Suite.
Work Environment
  • Hybrid work model based in Toronto, ON.
  • Primarily seated/desk‑based work with occasional lifting of general office equipment (up to 20 lbs).
  • No travel required.
