Senior Accounting Policy Analyst

We're seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Policy Analyst to join our client's Government team in Toronto.

What You'll Do:

Conduct in-depth analysis of existing accounting policies and identify areas for improvement

Develop and implement new accounting policies that align with government regulations and industry standards

Provide expert guidance and recommendations to senior leadership on complex financial matters

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of accounting policies across government programs

Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the field of public sector accounting

Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate policy changes and their impact

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation

Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior-level accounting policy or advisory role

Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and interpreting financial data

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse stakeholders

Proficient in the use of financial analysis software and data visualization tools

Thorough understanding of government accounting regulations and best practices
