Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
• Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors as needed

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a general accounting role
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage, Xero, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• CPA designation or working towards it is an asset
