As an
Accountant
, you will communicate with various internal departments as well as external stakeholders. This position is critical to the delivery of financial information on a timely basis. Candidates must possess strong organization and analytical skills in a position that is very detail oriented.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Assisting in the preparation of income statement reporting and analysis.
• Taking ownership of and completing monthly accounting entries in areas such as government funding prepaids, accruals, payroll, revenue, and fixed.
• Supporting with government funding applications, analysis and reconciliations
• Preparing and maintaining financial records and working papers in support of transactions.
• Monitoring banking activities for multiple entities to find irregularities and process appropriate journal entries.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 4 year degree in accounting or finance
• Working towards CPA designation
• 3+ years of experience working in an accounting role
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Products
• Experience working with ERP software, knowledge of Net Suite is an asset
