About the Opportunity
- Execute bi-weekly payroll cycles across multiple business units, ensuring all employee earnings and deductions are calculated, validated, and finalized within scheduled deadlines
- Manage statutory payroll obligations by preparing and submitting accurate tax remittances and compliance-based filings to relevant authorities
- Coordinate delivery of annual employee tax statements in alignment with mandatory reporting timelines
- Administer employer-sponsored retirement program contributions, ensuring values are calculated, transmitted, and recorded correctly
- Produce payroll-related accounting entries during financial close periods, including earned-liability provisions and benefit cost allocations
- Perform periodic validation and reconciliation of payroll and benefits ledger accounts to ensure data integrity and audit preparedness
- Act as a key contributor during financial assurance engagements by compiling supporting schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Provide responsive support to employee payroll questions, resolving inquiries with clarity and professionalism
- 3+ years of full cycle payroll experience
- ADP WFN and time and attendance is a strong asset, would like a Ceridian or similar if no ADP
- Strong Excel required (pivot tables, vlookups)
- Strong understanding of payroll-related statutory regulations
- Union experience is an asset
- PCP is an asset
$70,000 - $75,000 /year
