Capitol Concrete Products Inc. is looking to fill a full‑time non‑exempt union position of Class A Truck Driver – Flatbed. The role requires driving a tractor‑trailers to transport masonry, hardscape, and other building materials to various sites. Starting wage is $24 per week with Monday‑Friday schedule. Union benefits include a 401k plan.

• Perform pre‑shift inspections of tractor, trailer, forklift and other equipment.
• Drive tractor‑trailers to pick up and deliver building materials to specified destinations.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials and operating yard equipment.
• Cross‑check and confirm all materials loaded match the delivery ticket.
• Report repair needs identified during pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections.
• Maintain high level of customer service, displaying a professional and courteous attitude.
• Move levers, pedals, and controls to complete loading, unloading, and delivery of loads.
• Keep accurate and timely paperwork: load tickets, logbooks, fuel receipts.

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with appropriate endorsements.
• Physical strength and ability to handle, lift, and move objects up to 100 pounds.
• Knowledge or experience driving a semi‑tractor, trailer, and forklift.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks and projects and to communicate with management and co‑workers.
• Must pass federal DOT drug and alcohol screening and physical and random drug screenings.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
• Teamwork, discipline, and the ability to operate on own initiative.

• Moderate physical demand: exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Must lift, push, pull, and carry objects and use back muscles for support.
• Requires standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motions, and operating controls while driving a semi‑tractor and forklift.
• Must wear hard hats, safety glasses, and steel‑toed boots.
• Work in various weather conditions: hot, cold, wet, dry, humid, wind.
• Required to walk/carry objects across paved, unpaved, dirt, and rough terrain.
