Foreman, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor, Building Maintenance

KBS Constructors, Inc. is looking for a knowledgeable Foreman with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. The Foreman position supervises and coordinates the activities of construction and installation crews and is directed by the superintendent.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for layout, reading blueprints, assigning duties, planning the next tasks, inspections, keeping time, and ensuring materials and tools are available for the crews as directed by the superintendent.
• Executes tasks and activities as directed and in accordance with plans and specifications provided by the superintendent.
• May be responsible for reporting the crew’s daily production and assisting the superintendent with production goals, solving problems, and task planning.
• Provides on-the-job training for company apprentices.
• Typically provides carpenter duties.
• Ensures compliance with quality and production standards established by the superintendent’s task plans.
• Coordinates with other trades on jobsite to ensure job schedules are met.
• Fosters a positive attitude within the crew.
• Watchfor compliance with safety policies.
• Keeps jobsite clean and free of debris as needed for a safe environment.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by the superintendent.

Skills

• Consistently show up on time and ready to work productively each day.
• Good work ethic.
• Proficiency with using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)
• Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Willingness to follow and require others to always adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
• Promote teamwork and a positive attitude.
• Represent KBS in a professional manner.

Education and Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass background and drug screening.
