Hayden Tower Service, Inc. is a communications construction company that provides turn-key wireless site installations. Whether new site, colocations or rooftop sites, we take pride in the fact that we self-perform the majority of all aspects of the construction process.
Our Tower Construction Crew members install tower foundations, equipment shelter foundations, access roads and compound areas at tower and communication sites throughout the Midwestern states.
Responsibilities- Travel, out of town, for up to two weeks at a time.
- Responsible for excavating footings, tower foundations, tower anchors, grounding trenches and power and telephone trenches.
- Installs ground rods and ground rings and is responsible for insuring all Thermo Welded joints are acceptable.
- Glues all conduits together in accordance with the site drawings and the site supervisor’s instruction.
- Tie rebar, pour required concrete and is responsible for finishing and rubbing foundations and slabs.
- Backfills and packs all excavations to prevent settling.
- Drives company vehicles to the construction site and uses these vehicles to deliver material to other construction sites within the Continental United States.
- Concrete testing including slump and compression strength tests
- Operation of skid-steers, backhoes, excavators, compacting equipment
- Maintaina good driving record
- Must be able to obtain a CDL within 90 days of employment
- Receive and follow direction of crew chief
- Assist in ensuring trucks and equipment are well maintained and organized
- Participate in daily safety meetings
- The applicant must possess a HS diploma or equivalent
- Desire to learn how to operate heavy equipment
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Class B or Class A CDL (highly desired)
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Construction or equipment operator’s background (preferred)
- Possess strong communication skills.
Competitive hourly rate that increases based on performance and obtaining certifications. Per diem.
