Job Summary:

Directs, coordinates, and manages production activities.

Essential Position Functions:

Provides leadership, coaching, and development for supervisor team members.

Plans and establishes work schedules, and assignments to meet production goals.

Hires, trains, and evaluates production personnel.

Prepares and maintains production reports and personnel records.

Monitors production tracking and quality control systems.

Reviews operations and confers with administrative staff to resolve procedural problems.

Provides leadership to meet company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Regular attendance and punctuality is required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility.

Monitors production processes to ensure adherence to food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Verifies that sanitation and hygiene protocols are followed by all production personnel.

Reports and escalates any food safety concerns or deviations promptly to Plant Manager and Quality Assurance.

Supports food safety audits and assists in implementing corrective actions as needed.

Trains and coaches team members on food safety procedures and regulatory compliance.

Education and Experience:

5-10 years manufacturing experience in the food industry is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Some college is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Basic PC skills are required.
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheets.
English/Spanish bilingual a plus.

Physical Demands and

Working Conditions:

Food manufacturing plant environment.
Environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.
Lifting, kneeling, and bending with packages in excess of 50 lbs.
Travel up to 10% of the time.
Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.

Exempt only:
This position is eligible for a bonus based on company goals/performance.
