Salary: $21.29 - $37.35/hr
Schedule:
This position is for second shift (3:30 - 11:30pm) Weekly schedule to be determined with 8% Shift Differential.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Operating Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing and overseeing various preventive maintenance and repairs within a designated geographic territory. Your work will be critical in ensuring that buildings and their systems are safe, reliable, and efficient, in accordance with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) standards and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on work to complete necessary maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with JLL standards.
Assist in the identification and implementation of Operational Maintenance and Repair (OM&R) strategies to optimize building systems and equipment within the designated territory.
Execute JLL quality control audits and inspections throughout the territory, reporting deficiencies to supervisors.
Provide technical assistance, training, and support to teams within the territory to enhance their understanding of building operations, troubleshooting, and hands-on repair guidance.
Complete various maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, card access systems, door and gate systems, building envelope systems, grounds and parking lots, interior finish systems, lighting systems, and other associated tasks.
Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to effectively manage diverse relationships with team members, contractors, clients, and customers.
Strong organizational skills to schedule and prioritize work for maximum efficiency and minimize overtime.
Ability to engage others and foster teamwork and cooperation.
Conduct performance counseling and manage performance of direct reports.
Comprehensive knowledge of safe work practices, particularly regarding energized work, working at heights, and confined spaces.
Ability to recognize, assess and mitigate risks.
Proficiency in using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for associated tasks.
Thorough understanding of customer service principles and processes, including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Evaluate, train, teach, and coach a workforce of Lead Engineers, Facility Engineers, and Maintenance Technicians as requested by supervisors.
Possess hands-on skills and knowledge to complete required repairs and maintenance on commercial buildings and building systems, adhering to industry standards and all relevant codes, laws, and regulations.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair services on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems to ensure peak operational condition.
Any other duties and tasks as assigned.
