Recover-Care Healthcare in Topeka, KS is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance of the physical building and equipment, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality, safe facilities for our patients and families.

The Maintenance Director is responsible for maintaining the building and grounds, overseeing repairs, managing tools and equipment, and providing excellent customer service in a caring environment. The role requires diligence, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safety.

• Work closely with and follow directions from the Administrator.
• Maintain the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Maintain and repair basic functions of the center as determined by the maintenance director/supervisor.
• Take care of tools and equipment.
• Perform minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri‑chairs, electrical equipment, sprinklers, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, change filters on HVAC equipment, and carry, lift and stock supplies.
• Remain on call when assigned for 24 hours a day.
• Place Customer Service First: ensure that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes individuals’ needs and rights.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Agile and in good physical health.
• Ability to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English for safety and patient care.
• Must provide verification of health and background as required by state law and company policy.
