Business Data Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a Business/Data Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives by gathering business and data requirements, analyzing data flows, and assisting with the development and validation of data products. This Analyst will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection, transformation, and reporting across a data warehouse ecosystem.

• Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed data and functional requirements.
• Support data extraction, transformation, and aggregation processes.
• Coordinate with technical teams to interpret and validate data outputs.
• Perform data quality reviews and testing to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Investigate and help resolve issues identified during system and user testing.
• Develop process documentation, data flow diagrams, and requirements specifications.
• Prepare analytical summaries and technical reports based on findings.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Support the development of system, integration, and user acceptance test scripts.
• Participate in UAT activities and testing documentation.
• Conduct meetings with data owners to address source data and transformation rules.
• Assist in evaluating and improving source data quality.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

• 4+ years of experience gathering business and data requirements.
• Experience working within data warehouse or enterprise data management environments.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases including Snowflake.
• Experience supporting ELT or data transformation processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Experience producing structured technical documentation.
