Paramedic

Join American Medical Response as a full‑time paramedic. Earn a base rate of $26.75 per hour with a $10,000 sign‑on bonus. This position requires 12‑hour shifts and focuses on delivering compassionate, high‑quality patient care.

• Assess each call and determine the best course of action using progressive paramedic protocols.
• Utilize paramedic skills and medical equipment—defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids—to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and relatives to provide information and assurance.
• Act as team leader, taking responsibility for scene and unit management when needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow paramedics.

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and build strong community relations.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Kansas paramedic certification and NREMT‑P credential.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
• Preferred NREMT certification.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a physical agility test.
• Previous healthcare work experience preferred.
