• Comply with the facility’s personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Report allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately.
• Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with dignity and respect.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident/family information.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Supervise/training personnel such as COTA or OTR Aides (if applicable).
• Evaluate the patient within one business day of written referral from the Doctor.
• Plan, administer, and supervise the COTA in appropriate treatment plans.
• Communicate with referring physician and rehabilitation team regarding patient’s total treatment program.
• Maintain an accurate daily record of treatments, billing, and charting.
• Deliver occupational therapy services at an efficiency standard.
• Provide in-service education to facilities, staff, students, and community.

For Geriatric Programs:

• ADL re-training
• Functional mobility re-training
• Neuromuscular re-education
• Energy conservation/joint protection

For any age:

• Work simplification
• ADL’s
• Fine/Gross Motor Skills

• Regular worksite attendance.
• Must meet recognized standards of professional education and qualifications.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours, weekends, holidays when necessary.
• Must assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies.
• Must perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Use transfer/gait belt or assistance when lifting/carrying >25 lbs.
• Lift 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-25 lbs rarely; 26-50 lbs occasionally; over 50 lbs not required.
• Carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-25 lbs frequently.
• Reach above shoulder height frequently; at shoulder height frequently; below shoulder height frequently.
• Push/pull frequently.
• Hand manipulation: grasping frequently; handling constantly; torquing rarely; fingering constantly.
• Twisting, bending, crawling, squatting, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing required.
• May operate automobile & games.
• Must work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, or hostile individuals.
