The Trust Operations Associate II – Securities Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of investable assets held by the company’s Trust clients, including securities transaction authorization, confirmation, execution, and recording in the Trust Accounting System, calculation of daily cash settlement requirements, and processing settlement wires.
- Performs daily operational duties such as monitoring trade activity and ensuring trades are executed as authorized.
- Reconciles daily transaction reports of third‑party custodians to Trust Accounting System records.
- Retrieves, validates, and uploads external source data into the Trust Accounting System.
- Ensures all trades are appropriately authorized, confirmed, and processed according to internal procedures.
- Calculates daily cash settlement needs by custodian and manages outgoing and incoming wire transfers.
- Monitors and resolves unsettled, erroneous, or failed trades or other exceptions and reports to appropriate management.
- Reconciles and posts dividend and interest receipts to the Trust Accounting System; identifies and resolves discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with trade and broker record‑keeping regulations, documentation, and confirmations.
Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with an option to work 7:30 am–4:30 pm. Overtime may be required during busy periods.
Education- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
Previous trust and banking experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and multi‑task.
- Ability to handle a heavy volume of work.
- Willingness to establish and maintain effective relationships through strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and solve practical problems with limited guidance.
- General understanding of trust and securities operations regulations.
- Strong fundamental understanding of investable securities and securities operations.
