WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Financial Controller, you'll lead Osborne's financial operations and ensure accurate, timely accounting across multiple states and business divisions. The company's financial tracking, cashflow, profitability, and financial reputation among our vendors, subcontractors, and employees rely on the proper execution of this role. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of both financial principles and the construction industry.

Key responsibilities include, but are not specifically limited to:

  • Manage full‑cycle accounting, including payroll, AP/AR, job costing, and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with multi‑state payroll tax and reporting requirements
  • Prepare monthly financials, internal reporting, and audit documentation
  • Monitor cash flow, oversee benefit payments, and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Collaborate with field and administrative teams to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Coordinate with external CPAs and auditors
  • Oversee the integrity and organization of all financial records and digital accounting systems
  • Identify and implement improvements in financial systems, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Support and maintain a healthy, happy work environment and company culture
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in construction or a project‑based industry
  • Experience with Quick Books, Sage Intacct, or similar financial software
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, job costing, and compliance regulations
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver's license
